Description For Cloud Support Associate, Support Engineering

Amazon Web Services India Private Limited (AWS India) is seeking a Cloud Support Associate for their Support Engineering team. This role is primarily focused on customer support in the cloud environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Solving customer cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, web/live chat)
  • Applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions
  • Diving deep into the root cause of issues
  • Coaching/mentoring new hires
  • Developing & presenting training
  • Partnering with development teams on complex issues
  • Writing tools/scripts to help the team
  • Working on process improvement and strategic initiatives

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 0-1 years of experience in Linux Systems administration, Database design and Optimization, BigData Analysis, Network administration, or Dev-ops
  • Programming/scripting experience (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP)
  • Troubleshooting/Support experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer focus & multi-tasking skills
  • Basic knowledge of OS concepts, Linux/Unix Systems administration, Networking, and Databases
  • Exposure to Cloud computing
