Description For Cloud Support Engineer

Join AWS Support Engineering Team as a Cloud Support Engineer in Osaka, Japan. This role focuses on providing technical assistance to customers using AWS cloud services. The team is divided into 10 technical profiles covering over 200 services, including Analytics, BigData, Database, Deployment, Development and Mobile Services, Linux, Networking, Storage and Content Delivery, Security, and Windows.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll be part of a 24/7 Japanese-language technical support team, working during regular business hours with no night shifts required. The position offers a comprehensive one-month training program and mentorship system, making it suitable for those new to technical support.

Your responsibilities will include mastering AWS technologies, collaborating with architects and development teams, improving customer support experiences, and creating technical content for the developer community. The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills, with opportunities to work with global teams.

The ideal candidate should have basic IT knowledge, particularly in operating systems and networking. While cloud experience is not mandatory, a strong foundation in at least one technical area is valuable. The position requires excellent Japanese communication skills and English reading/writing abilities, with translation tools available for support.

  • English communication skills (reading and writing)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to work 8-hour shifts between 8:00-20:00, including weekend rotations
