Description For Cloud Support Engineer

Join AWS Support Engineering team as a Cloud Support Engineer where you'll help customers innovate using AWS cloud services. The role offers continuous learning opportunities through diverse customer interactions and use cases. You'll be part of a 24/7 Japanese language support team, with no night shifts required due to global coverage. The team is organized into 10 technical profiles including Analytics, BigData, Database, Deployment, Development and Mobile Services, Linux, Networking, Storage and Content Delivery, Security, and Windows. New hires receive 1 month of training and mentorship support. The position involves troubleshooting, service improvement, and community engagement through technical content creation. You'll work with world-class engineers, have access to AWS service internals, and maintain a healthy work-life balance while making direct impact on customer success. The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills, with opportunities to work with global teams. The support team provides comprehensive training, making it accessible for those new to cloud technologies or technical support.

Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer

  • Provide technical support to AWS customers through web forms, phone, and chat
  • Learn and utilize latest AWS technologies
  • Collaborate with AWS architects and service development teams
  • Improve support processes and customer technical support experience
  • Create tutorials and technical articles for developer community
  • Communicate with engineers globally
  • Participate in service improvement proposals based on customer support experience

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer

Linux
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows)
  • Basic network knowledge (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS)
  • Strong Japanese communication skills (verbal and written)
  • English communication skills (reading and writing)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to work 8-hour shifts between 8:00-20:00, including weekend rotations
  • Continuous learning mindset and ability to share knowledge with team
