Description For Cloud Support Engineer (Big Data / AIML)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. As a Cloud Support Engineer on the AWS Support team, you will be at the forefront of transformational cloud technology, assisting a global list of companies and developers in leveraging AWS services for their mission-critical applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Learning and using groundbreaking technologies, specifically within Machine Learning
  • Applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to customer needs
  • Interacting with leading engineers worldwide
  • Partnering with AWS teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues
  • Providing feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Driving customer communication during critical events
  • Leading projects to enhance support-related processes and customer technical support experience
  • Creating tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles for the developer community
  • Addressing complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services

Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer (Big Data / AIML)

  • Learn and use groundbreaking technologies, specifically within Machine Learning
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to customers' individual needs
  • Interact with leading engineers around the world
  • Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer (Big Data / AIML)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
  • Experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP)
  • Experience with System Administration with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server
  • Experience with Networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, cURL or related)
  • Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Linux system monitoring and analysis
  • Understanding of distributed computing environments
