Description For Cloud Support Engineer - Containers, AWS Support Engineering

AWS is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer specializing in Containers to join their global support team. This role focuses on supporting containerization services including EKS, ECS, ECR, Fargate, App Mesh, and Batch. You'll be part of AWS Support Engineering, a customer-facing global organization operating on a follow-the-sun model.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, helping customers succeed by providing technical support through various channels. You'll troubleshoot complex issues, develop solutions, and work closely with customers to optimize their containerized applications. The role involves continuous learning and development of technical skills while working with a diverse global team.

Key responsibilities include solving customer cases, driving process improvements, creating technical content, and mentoring team members. You'll also have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to internal AWS teams and work on critical, complex problems spanning multiple AWS services.

  • Solve customer cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, web/chat)
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions
  • Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience
  • Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Work on complex customer problems across multiple AWS services
  • Coach/mentor new team members
  • Work 5 days a week on a rotational basis (including weekends)

  • 2+ years of technical support experience
