Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer - ETL, Support Engineering
- Support customers running ETL workload or analyzing large amounts of data using AWS services
- Work with services such as Glue (ETL service), Athena (interactive query service), Managed Workflows of Apache Airflow
- Create ETL Pipelines to extract and Ingest data into data lake/warehouse
- Troubleshoot ETL job issues
- Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues
- Drive customer communication during critical events
- Write tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles
- Work on complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services
Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer - ETL, Support Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in big data/Hadoop with excellent knowledge of Hadoop architecture and administration and support
- Ability to read Java code, and basic coding/scripting ability in Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP
- Database experience (MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL)
- Good understanding of distributed computing environments
- Excellent Linux/Unix system administrator skills
- Advanced SQL and query performance tuning skills
- Understanding of Linux and Networking concepts
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
