Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer I specializing in Analytics to join their global support team. This role focuses on supporting AWS's analytics services including Kinesis, OpenSearch, Redshift, QuickSight, Neptune, and Managed Streaming for Kafka. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of cloud technology, helping customers succeed by leveraging AWS's comprehensive suite of analytics tools.

Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer I - Analytics

  • Solve customer cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, web/chat)
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions
  • Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience
  • Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Work on complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services
  • Continuously learn new technologies and develop technical skills
  • Act as interviewer in hiring processes and mentor new team members
  • Work 5 days a week on a rotational basis (including possible weekends)

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer I - Analytics

  • 2+ years of experience with troubleshooting database concepts, database administration, data warehousing, BI issues and/or ETL
  • Knowledge or experience with system administration and troubleshooting Linux/Windows and networking
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken) within technical and business settings
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics or related field (preferred)
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts
  • Experience with distributed search, text parsing analysis, tokenization
  • Knowledge of data streaming concepts
