Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to join our Development and Mobile Services (DMS) team. This role is part of the AWS Support Engineering team (formerly Premium Support) that provides technical assistance to customers utilizing AWS cloud services.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll be working with cutting-edge cloud technologies while helping customers innovate using AWS services. The position focuses on supporting serverless architecture, mobile development, IoT, and messaging services. You'll be part of a team that provides 24/7 Japanese language technical support, with multiple global locations covering different time zones to ensure work-life harmony.

The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing customer problems, and providing solutions across various application development domains. You'll have the unique opportunity to see behind the scenes of cloud operations, including access to source code, and work directly with AWS service development teams to improve products based on customer feedback.

Working in the DMS profile, you'll handle services targeted at application developers, requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills. The position offers significant learning opportunities through daily interaction with diverse customer use cases and collaboration with talented engineers worldwide. You'll contribute to the developer community through technical content creation and may have opportunities to present at events like AWS re.

The ideal candidate should have a foundation in application development, basic understanding of operating systems and networking, and strong communication skills in both Japanese and English. Working hours are flexible within 7:00-21:00, with weekend rotations scheduled monthly.

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer I (Development and Mobile Services)

  • Application development experience (frontend/mobile/server-side/embedded)
  • Coding experience (any language)

  • Ability to work 8 hours between 7:00-21:00, including weekend rotation
