AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to join their global team. This role is crucial in supporting AWS's diverse customer base, from small businesses to enterprise-level organizations. You'll work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, focusing on distributed cloud infrastructure services including Data and Storage, Content delivery, and Media and Streaming technologies.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of customer success, providing technical support through multiple channels and developing solutions for complex technical challenges. The role requires strong technical expertise in storage systems, networking, and cloud technologies, particularly AWS services like S3, EFS, and Storage Gateway.

Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer I (DTS)

  • Solve customer's cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, and web/live chat)
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions
  • Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience
  • Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Work on critical, complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services
  • Continuously learn new technologies and develop technical skills
  • Act as interviewer in hiring processes and coach/mentor new team members

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer I (DTS)

Linux
Python
  • 4+ years of Technical support experience
  • Experience with networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, TCP and UDP
  • Unix/Linux or Windows system administration skills
  • Knowledge of client/server and distributed systems architectures
  • Knowledge of filesystem, block, object storage, Storage architectures and backup/DR strategies
  • Knowledge of AWS S3
  • High School Diploma as a minimum
