Description For Cloud Support Engineer I (Security)

AWS Support Engineering Team is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer specializing in Security to provide technical assistance to customers utilizing AWS cloud services. This role focuses on security-related services including ID management, authentication/authorization, data protection, and compliance. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with AWS's extensive service portfolio while providing 24/7 Japanese language technical support. Engineers work during regular business hours across different time zones, ensuring work-life harmony.

The role involves working with over 200 services divided into 10 technical areas, with this position specifically focusing on the Security profile. Daily activities include mastering new AWS technologies, collaborating with architects and development teams, managing critical events, improving support processes, and creating technical content for the developer community.

The ideal candidate should possess both technical and communication skills, with a particular emphasis on security-related troubleshooting abilities. A curiosity for technology and eagerness to learn are essential, as AWS services constantly evolve. The position requires strong Japanese language skills for customer interaction and English proficiency for collaboration with global teams.

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer I (Security)

Linux
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows)
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS)
  • Basic security knowledge (ID management, authentication/authorization, cryptography)
  • Excellent Japanese communication skills (verbal and written)
  • English communication skills (reading and writing)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Available to work 8 hours between 7:00-21:00, including weekend rotations
