Join AWS's premier Latin American engineering team as a Cloud Support Engineer specializing in Analytics services. This role combines technical expertise with customer service, focusing on AWS's analytics technologies including Kinesis, OpenSearch, Redshift, QuickSight, Neptune, and Managed Streaming for Kafka. You'll be part of AWS Support Engineering, a global customer-facing organization operating on a follow-the-sun model.

The position requires both technical prowess and strong communication skills, as you'll be working directly with customers to solve complex technical challenges while also contributing to process improvements and service enhancement. You'll handle various analytics technologies that enable customers to process real-time data for applications ranging from digital marketing to IoT.

Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer II - Analytics (English/Portuguese speakers)

  • Solve customer cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, web/chat)
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions
  • Drive initiatives to improve support processes and customer experience
  • Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Work on complex customer problems across multiple AWS services
  • Continuously learn new technologies and develop technical skills
  • Act as interviewer and mentor new team members
  • Work 5 days a week on a rotational basis (including weekends)

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer II - Analytics (English/Portuguese speakers)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics or related field or equivalent military experience
  • 3+ years of related professional experience
  • Experience with system administration and troubleshooting (Linux/Windows)
  • Networking knowledge (HTTP/s, TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, routing, switching, firewalls)
  • Database concepts and administration experience (RDBMS, NoSQL, DocumentDB)
  • Experience with data warehousing
  • Experience troubleshooting Business Intelligence (BI) issues and ETL
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)
