Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer II specializing in Big Data to join their premier engineering team in Mexico. This role combines technical expertise with customer service, focusing on supporting AWS's Big Data services including EMR (Hadoop), DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Apache Cassandra. The position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Portuguese, making it ideal for tech enthusiasts who can bridge language barriers while delivering technical solutions.

  • Solve customer cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, web/chat)
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions
  • Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience
  • Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Work on complex customer problems across multiple AWS services
  • Coach and mentor new team members

  • 3+ years of related professional experience
  • Experience with system administration and troubleshooting (Linux and/or Windows)
  • Experience with networking (HTTP/s, TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, routing, switching, firewalls, etc.)
  • Experience with Hadoop ecosystems (Apache Spark, Apache Hive)
  • Experience in data lake architecture and administration
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)
