Description For Cloud Support Engineer (Level 4), Device OS

Amazon Lab126, an innovative subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to join their Device OS team. Founded in 2004, Lab126 has been instrumental in creating groundbreaking consumer electronics like Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Dash Button. The Device OS team plays a crucial role in providing core OS, platform features, and components for these innovative devices.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll be part of a world-class team supporting scalable cloud solutions that enable partners to quickly build and launch services/devices cost-effectively. The role involves supporting T1 cloud services for Device OS and contributing to a multi-year business-critical cloud technology solution that will be deployed across millions of devices.

The position requires strong technical skills in AWS infrastructure, troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work with platform and application teams to ensure the highest quality deliverables. You'll be responsible for managing availability, latency, and performance of mission-critical services while preventing problem recurrence.

  • Support and maintain AWS infrastructure and resources, working on monitoring solutions
  • Software deployment support in staging and production environments
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues
  • Handling incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks
  • Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance
