Description For Cloud Support Engineer (Linux), Support Engineering

AWS Support is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer specializing in Linux to join their dynamic team. As part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), you'll be at the forefront of cloud technology, supporting a global customer base. The role combines technical expertise with customer service excellence, focusing on compute technologies including EC2, EBS, and LightSail.

You'll serve as a 'Cloud Ambassador,' helping customers maximize their AWS investment through troubleshooting, solution architecture, and best practices implementation. The position offers extensive opportunities for technical growth, working with cutting-edge cloud technologies while solving complex customer challenges across multiple AWS services.

The role involves direct customer interaction through various channels (email, phone, web/chat), applying advanced troubleshooting techniques, and driving operational improvements. You'll collaborate with leading engineers worldwide, contribute to the developer community through technical content creation, and act as the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams.

AWS values diverse experiences and promotes an inclusive culture through employee-led affinity groups and ongoing learning opportunities. The team offers flexible work arrangements with options for office-based or hybrid work models near Australian Amazon offices. Career development is prioritized through mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and advancement opportunities across the organization.

This position is ideal for someone with Linux system administration experience who is passionate about cloud computing and customer support. While specific AWS experience is beneficial, AWS emphasizes hiring individuals who can dive deep and learn, focusing more on your existing expertise than gaps in experience.
