Description For Cloud Support Engineer (Networking)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. As a Cloud Support Engineer (Networking) at AWS, you will:

  • Act as a 'Cloud Ambassador' across all cloud products
  • Support networking services including Elastic Load Balancing, Firewalls, DNS, Auto Scaling, Cloud Watch, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPN, and VPC
  • Learn and use ground breaking technologies
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to customers
  • Interact with leading engineers worldwide
  • Partner with AWS teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues
  • Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Drive customer communication during critical events
  • Work on projects to improve support processes and customer experience
  • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles
  • Solve complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer (Networking)

Linux
  • Experience in Networking - including routing, switching and troubleshooting
  • Experience with System Administration and troubleshooting in Linux and / or Windows
  • Knowledge of DNS including domain transfers and records
  • Knowledge of Network security
