AWS Cloud Support Engineers work with a diverse client base, from startups to enterprise customers, providing expert technical guidance. The role involves handling customer inquiries through various communication channels, requiring deep technical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and understand client needs. At AWS, you'll face new challenges daily, learning cutting-edge cloud technologies and their applications across different industries. You'll collaborate with internal teams including Technical Account Managers, Solution Architects, and global Subject Matter Experts.

The position focuses on networking expertise, particularly in areas like DNS, load balancing, IPsec, SSL, TCP/IP, and routing/switching. You'll work with AWS services including ELB, Route 53, WAF, VPN, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway. The role offers flexible scheduling with no on-call requirements, following a follow-the-sun model.

  • Provide technical advice to clients ranging from small startups to large enterprises
  • Handle customer inquiries through phone, email, and instant messaging
  • Troubleshoot and identify root causes of technical issues
  • Collaborate with internal AWS teams including Technical Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Development Managers
  • Work with global Subject Matter Experts and AWS Service Development Teams

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer - Networking

Linux
  • Experience in network/system administration
  • Good understanding of layer 3-4 or layer 4-7 protocols
  • Strong Chinese communication skills and intermediate English proficiency
  • Basic networking concepts (OSI model, IP connectivity, TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP)
  • Ability to troubleshoot common network connectivity issues
