Description For Cloud Support Engineer (Security)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer (Security) to join their team. As a member of the AWS Support team, you'll be at the forefront of transformational cloud technology, assisting a global list of companies and developers using AWS services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Learning and using groundbreaking technologies
  • Applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions
  • Interacting with leading engineers worldwide
  • Partnering with Amazon teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues
  • Providing feedback to internal teams on service improvements
  • Driving customer communication during critical events
  • Leading projects to improve support processes and customer experience
  • Writing tutorials and technical articles for the developer community
  • Working on complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical position
  • 2+ years of network, security, and operating system support experience
  • 2+ years of distributed systems experience
  • 2+ years of information security and compliance experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience deploying Identity and Access Management systems (e.g., SSO, SAML)
  • Understanding of Cloud Security across Identity, Monitoring, Auditing, and Cryptography
  • Knowledge of security technologies like NextGen FW, WAF, SIEM, and Endpoint Security
