Amazon is seeking Software Development Engineer (SDE) Co-op students to join their team and work on impactful projects. As a co-op participant, you will be matched with a manager and mentor, collaborating with experienced SDEs to innovate and build on behalf of customers. You'll work on complex technical challenges in areas such as distributed systems, data mining, automation, optimization, scalability, and security. The co-op program offers full-time positions for up to 8 months, typically working Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include: • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to design and bring innovative products to market • Building distributed storage, index, and query systems • Designing and coding solutions for broadly defined problems • Working in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software
The co-op program provides opportunities for personal and professional development, networking, and participation in activities with other co-op students. Amazon offers co-op positions in various locations across the United States, with the majority based in the Seattle/Bellevue, WA, and Arlington, VA areas.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a co-op program at their school in the US, with at least one quarter/semester/trimester remaining after the co-op concludes. The program is open to students pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, with an expected graduation date between October 2025 and September 2028.
