AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Colo Design Standards Engineer to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role is crucial in maintaining the backbone of AWS's cloud operations, focusing on data center infrastructure and colocation facilities.
The position requires an experienced engineer with strong data center technical knowledge and colocation experience. You'll be part of the Colocation Design Standards (CoDeS) team, driving global standardization of technical solutions for AWS Colocation sites. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining design standards, supporting new AWS product deployments, and ensuring consistency across global colocation data centers.
As a key member of the team, you'll collaborate with Colo engineering leaders, Principal Engineers, Product teams, and global partners to set and update colocation capacity standards. The role involves significant interaction with APAC and EMEA colocation teams, requiring 25% international travel. You'll be instrumental in driving resilience, standards, consistency, and continuous improvement across the global colocation fleet.
The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $105,100 to $185,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
