Description For Commissioning Engineer

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role is crucial in supporting AWS data centers' critical infrastructures, including power and cooling equipment. The position involves managing and coordinating commissioning activities for various systems, including high/medium/low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, and BMS.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll work with a diverse team of professionals, managing vendors and contractors while ensuring compliance with safety standards and specifications. The role requires travel up to 25% of time across APJC and globally, offering exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure projects and innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities include system analysis, validation, and project management of critical infrastructure commissioning. You'll review documentation, verify system performance, and manage multiple concurrent projects across different geographical regions. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities For Commissioning Engineer

  • Oversee and coordinate multi-discipline work related to pre-commissioning and commissioning of Amazon critical infrastructure
  • Manage commissioning vendors, contractors, and teams for various systems including power, HVAC, and BMS
  • Review multi-discipline integrated systems testing and commissioning documents
  • Provide system analysis and validation
  • Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions
  • Develop project schedules and plans
  • Ensure compliance with safety practices and procedures
  • Weekly reporting of commissioning progress and metrics

Requirements For Commissioning Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 3+ years experience in Commissioning, Electrical Design, Construction Project Management, Control System installation/maintenance, or Facilities operations
  • Ability to interpret construction documents
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical controls systems
