Description For Commissioning Engineer, EMEA ACx

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team in EMEA. As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you'll be part of a creative, efficient team tasked with building and supporting AWS-owned data centers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting vendors, contractors, and teams in construction and commissioning of systems like HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, Building Management Systems, and more.
  • Providing multi-discipline input into scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects.
  • Reviewing component submittal packages, leading Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and performing system level and integrated system testing.
  • Auditing activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Comprehensive weekly reporting of project status and lessons learned.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities or data center infrastructure
  • 3+ years of commissioning experience
  • Relevant certifications or training (NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-stress environments
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures

Responsibilities For Commissioning Engineer, EMEA ACx

  • Provide multi-discipline input into scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects

Requirements For Commissioning Engineer, EMEA ACx

  • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities or data center infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 3+ years of commissioning experience
  • Certification or training in NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education courses
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures
  • Ability to read and edit construction documents
