Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you'll be part of a creative and efficient team responsible for building and supporting AWS-owned data centers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting vendors, contractors, and teams in construction and commissioning of various systems (HVAC, Chilled Water, BMS, etc.)
- Providing multi-discipline input into scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects
- Reviewing component submittal packages and leading Factory Witness Testing (FWT)
- Performing system level and integrated system testing
- Auditing activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements
- Comprehensive weekly reporting on project status and lessons learned
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities or data center infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
- 3+ years of commissioning experience
- Certification or training in NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning-specific education
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures
- Ability to read and edit construction documents
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-stress environments
