Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their Data Center Infrastructure team in EMEA. This role is crucial for supporting AWS's growing cloud computing capacity across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you'll be part of an innovative team responsible for ensuring construction quality meets engineering designs and customer requirements.

The position involves working with critical infrastructure systems including power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, and building management systems. You'll lead Factory Witness Testing, perform system testing, and ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards. The role requires extensive technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, strong project management skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities For Commissioning Engineer, EMEA ACx

  • Support vendors, contractors and teams in construction and commissioning of data center systems
  • Review component submittal packages
  • Lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT)
  • Perform system level and integrated system testing
  • Audit activities for environmental, quality, and safety compliance
  • Provide comprehensive weekly reporting of project status
  • Support commissioning of power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure

Requirements For Commissioning Engineer, EMEA ACx

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of work experience in mission critical facilities or data center infrastructure
  • 3+ years of commissioning experience
  • Certification or training in NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific courses
  • Ability to travel 20-50% domestically and internationally
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-stress environments
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
  • Ability to read and edit construction documents
