Description For Commissioning Project Engineer, AMER-Central ACx

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Commissioning Project Engineer (CxPE) to support data center capacity delivery through project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution. This role is part of a career development program aimed at evolving into a Commissioning Engineer (CxE) through a three-phase mentoring program.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, essentially keeping the cloud running. The team manages AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continuous customer access to AWS services.

The role involves collaborating with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts. You'll work on challenging infrastructure problems while maintaining the highest standards for safety and security. The position requires both technical expertise and project management skills, with responsibilities ranging from managing vendor relationships to implementing change management processes.

Responsibilities For Commissioning Project Engineer, AMER-Central ACx

  • Manage project milestone auditing and calibration with partner teams
  • Create and maintain Procore tooling for project setup and tracking
  • Develop and implement Modeled Change Management (MCM)
  • Manage commissioning vendor (CxA) relationships and deliverables
  • Track and report project metrics and observations
  • Create Scope of Work (SOW) documents
  • Support commissioning execution for Phase 1 and Follow-on Room (FOR) projects
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across data center regions

Requirements For Commissioning Project Engineer, AMER-Central ACx

Linux
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field, or relevant discipline work experience
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in project tracking and reporting tools
  • Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to read construction documents (design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, etc.)
