Responsibilities For Construction Cost Engineer, North and South America Cost Control

  • Utilizing tools and templates for bid analysis and cost management
  • Engaging and managing third party Quantity Surveyor vendors
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams on a global scale
  • Identifying Value Engineering opportunities and quantifying savings
  • Identifying project risks and financial cost impacts
  • Updating repository for historical data
  • Defining and tracking cost performance metrics
  • Analyzing Construction vendor proposals using AWS benchmark data
  • Creating accurate bid leveling documents
  • Validating final award amount and scope
  • Implementing cost control and change management
  • Ensuring vendor invoices are accurate and timely

Requirements For Construction Cost Engineer, North and South America Cost Control

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in construction cost control
  • 2+ years of experience with Data Center or mission critical construction environments
  • Experience with estimating software (CostX, Cubit, Onscreen takeoff, Timberline and Bluebeam)
  • MS Office Suite power user skills
