Responsibilities For Construction Cost Engineer, North and South America Cost Control
- Utilize tools and templates for bid analysis and cost management
- Engage and manage third party Quantity Surveyor vendors
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a global scale
- Identify Value Engineering opportunities and quantify savings
- Identify project risks and financial cost impacts
- Update repository for historical data
- Define and track cost performance metrics
- Analyze Construction vendor proposals using AWS benchmark data
- Create accurate bid leveling documents
- Validate final award amount and scope
- Implement and maintain cost control and change management
- Validate change cost impacts
- Ensure vendor invoices are accurate and timely
Requirements For Construction Cost Engineer, North and South America Cost Control
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in construction cost control
- 2+ years of experience with Data Center or mission critical construction environments
- 2+ years of experience as a program manager
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical or ASC cost elements
