Construction Manager, Design and Construction

Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager to join their Global Engineering Services team in France. This role combines construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management for Amazon's EMEA operations. The position involves overseeing construction and renovation projects for Amazon's Fulfillment Centers, requiring extensive experience in construction management and engineering design.

The ideal candidate will split their time between the French office and traveling across EMEA (50% travel), managing various aspects of facility infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for compliance, project managing Retrofits, Extensions and Initiatives (REI) of existing Amazon Buildings, and supporting the standardization of technical and facility-related processes.

Key responsibilities include overseeing construction engineering and planning, preparing technical specifications, surveying facilities, negotiating vendor contracts, and providing site management. The role requires strong leadership skills to coach project teams and ensure quality delivery from contractors.

This position offers unique opportunities to work across multiple European countries, contributing to Amazon's expanding logistics network. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing EMEA network infrastructure while ensuring compliance with various regional requirements.

Candidates must possess a degree in Engineering or Architecture, be fluent in English and French, and have proven experience in construction project management. Additional language skills in German, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu are considered advantageous.
