Construction Manager, Design and Construction

Amazon, the world's leading e-commerce company, is seeking a Construction Manager to join their operations team in Italy. This role combines construction engineering, planning, project management, and facilities management, focusing on Amazon Fulfillment Centers across EMEA. The position requires up to 50% travel time, offering unique opportunities to work across different countries and cultures.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of new Amazon Fulfillment Centers, as well as managing existing facility expansions. They will play a crucial role in developing and implementing EU network infrastructure, analyzing facility scenarios, and standardizing technical processes.

Key responsibilities include managing construction engineering projects, preparing technical specifications, surveying facilities, negotiating vendor contracts, and coordinating with subcontractors. The role demands strong leadership skills to guide project teams and ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, fluency in Italian and English, and substantial experience in construction project management. Knowledge of EU construction markets and contract negotiation is essential. Additional language skills in Spanish, German, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu are considered advantageous.
