Description For Construction Manager, North America Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Central Region

Amazon's North American Construction team is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the development and renovation of Fulfillment Centers across Canada. This role combines construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management expertise.

As a Construction Manager, you'll be Amazon's primary representative interfacing with Developers and General Contractors, managing projects ranging from small renovations to large-scale facilities worth over $100M. The position requires technical expertise in construction engineering, building design, and AutoCAD, along with strong project management and negotiation skills.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to impact Amazon's physical infrastructure growth, working with cutting-edge fulfillment center designs and technologies. You'll lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet strict safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements while coordinating with various stakeholders including internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities For Construction Manager, North America Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Central Region

  • Manage construction of new Fulfillment Centers and renovations in US and Canada
  • Support construction scope review and development with internal technical teams
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from small renovations to large $100M+ facilities
  • Prepare technical analysis and specifications for design requirements
  • Provide technical direction for engineering design and building layouts
  • Negotiate contracts with developers and General Contractors
  • Ensure project delivery meets safety, quality, cost, and schedule KPIs
  • Coach and guide project teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review designs for conformance to building specifications
  • Manage comprehensive budget tracking and forecasting

Requirements For Construction Manager, North America Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Central Region

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or comparable field
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • Experience as Engineer, Construction Manager, General Contractor PM, or Owner's Representative
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% regionally
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
