Description For Controls Engineer, APAC Controls Deployment and Service - Colo

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineer, you'll be instrumental in delivering and supporting data center building automation systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).

The role combines technical expertise with project management, requiring you to work with diverse teams across AWS to maintain the highest standards of safety and security. You'll be involved in deploying new systems, upgrading existing facilities, and providing critical support to ensure continuous operation of AWS data centers.

Your responsibilities will span from overseeing new deployments to upgrading existing facilities and providing regional support. Success in this role requires strong technical skills in control systems, excellent project management capabilities, and the ability to build effective relationships with multiple stakeholders including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities For Controls Engineer, APAC Controls Deployment and Service - Colo

  • Deploy data center controls systems
  • Manage vendors to ensure minimal defects
  • Deliver critical projects to upgrade data center automation
  • Provide service and support to partner teams
  • Resolve tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements
  • Deploy and support building automation systems
  • Oversee deployment of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
  • Partner with Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, and other teams

Requirements For Controls Engineer, APAC Controls Deployment and Service - Colo

Linux
  • Control system integration experience with enterprise level clients
  • Experience in consolidating equipment and subsystems
  • Experience with PLC or SCADA programming
  • Project management experience
  • B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers
  • Hardware, software, and networking products integration experience
