AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team in Sydney, Australia. This role is crucial in maintaining AWS's global infrastructure and keeping the cloud running efficiently.

The position involves working with building automation systems, specifically Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) in AWS data centers. You'll be responsible for deploying new systems, upgrading existing facilities, and providing essential maintenance support.

As a Controls Engineer, you'll collaborate with diverse teams including software, hardware, and network engineers, while working on challenging problems that impact AWS's global infrastructure. The role requires expertise in control systems, programming skills (particularly in PLC, SCADA, Codesys, or Python), and strong documentation abilities.

Responsibilities For Controls Engineer, Australia & New Zealand Controls Deployment and Service

  • Deploy and service data center building automation systems
  • Oversee deployment of new BMS or EPMS in data center builds
  • Deliver projects to upgrade existing data centers
  • Provide local servicing expertise to fleet of data centers
  • Partner with Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, and other teams
  • Manage vendors and ensure minimal defects at Power and Facilities Hand-Off
  • Resolve tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements
