Description For Controls Engineer - AWS, AWS Control, Deployment and Service Team

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of keeping the cloud running, managing the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team is responsible for delivering and servicing control systems that ensure data center health. As a Controls Engineer, you'll work with building automation systems like BMS and EPMS, overseeing deployments in new data centers and upgrading existing facilities. You'll collaborate with diverse teams across AWS, including Construction, Commissioning, and Operations, while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

The role demands someone who can thrive in Amazon's fast-paced, competitive environment where change is constant. You'll need to manage multiple priorities, work with global teams across time zones, and be willing to travel when required. Responsibilities For Controls Engineer - AWS, AWS Control, Deployment and Service Team

  • Deploy data center controls systems with effective vendor management
  • Deliver critical projects to upgrade data center automation
  • Provide service and support to partner teams
  • Resolve tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Deliver initiatives to improve data center efficiency
  • Oversee deployment of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
  • Partner with Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations teams

Requirements For Controls Engineer - AWS, AWS Control, Deployment and Service Team

  • Control systems experience including building unified automated control systems
  • Programming experience with PLC, SCADA, Codesys, Python, or other scripted programming languages
  • Engineering documentation experience
