AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their Data Center Capacity Delivery team. This role is crucial in maintaining and optimizing AWS's global infrastructure, specifically focusing on Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). The position involves working with cutting-edge data center technology, including generators, cooling systems, and power distribution units.

Responsibilities For Controls Engineer, Deployment, Data Center Capacity Delivery

  • Train and assist with creation, design, configuration of BMS and EPMS systems
  • Provide technical assistance and support to operations
  • Review and resolve maintenance items for BMS and EPMS
  • Develop and manage BMS & EPMS projects scope, schedule, and budget
  • Participate in AWS global on-call schedule
  • Review and implement controls sequence of operation
  • Develop and modify controls logic programming
  • Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables
  • Financially manage BMS and EPMS service contracts
  • Visit data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work

Requirements For Controls Engineer, Deployment, Data Center Capacity Delivery

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering science plus 5+ years of relevant controls experience, OR 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environment
  • 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience
  • Experience with HVAC Controls or Electrical SCADA systems
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (MQTT, BACnet and/or MODBUS)
  • Understanding of engineering documentation, electrical and mechanical diagrams
