Amazon is seeking a Senior Controls Systems Engineer to join their Maintenance Automation Platform (MAP) Team, which is crucial in transforming machine-generated data into automated maintenance actions. This role sits at the intersection of industrial automation and cloud computing, working with one of the world's largest Reliability, Maintenance Engineering (RME) enterprises. Responsibilities For Controls Systems Engineer, Maintenance Automation Platform

  • Support and maintain software solutions for Reliability, Maintenance Engineering (RME) enterprise
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new software, systems, infrastructure, hardware, networking and automation improvements
  • Focus on MAP infrastructures deployed in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and in the field
  • Ensure seamless and efficient Factory 4.0 solutions based in AWS services
  • Maintain SLAs through implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting
  • Identify patterns affecting performance, reliability, or availability and drive improvements through automation

Requirements For Controls Systems Engineer, Maintenance Automation Platform

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as Java, Python
  • 3+ years of programming with PLC platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.) IEC 61131-3
  • 2+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • 2+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment
  • 2+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement
  • Experience building tools for building, testing, releasing or monitoring
