The Controls Systems Engineer role at Amazon's Packaging Innovation team focuses on developing and executing advanced motion control systems for Amazon's packaging platforms. Responsibilities For Controls Systems Engineer, Packaging Innovation, MSP

  • Design systems architecture including HMI, PLC, Motion, safety, and ancillary systems
  • Execute programming of subsystems (HMI, PLC, Motion, Safety and ancillary systems)
  • Ensure project documentation is complete and scalable
  • Support safety certification of projects/platforms
  • Work with technical project teams on packaging machinery & automation
  • Participate in meetings to ensure project excellence in customer experience

Requirements For Controls Systems Engineer, Packaging Innovation, MSP

  • Bachelors Degree in Automation, Controls, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
  • Proven experience in advanced motion control platforms (HMI, PLC, Motion, Safety) integrated design and programing
  • 3+ years experience with motion control software (Rockwell, Rexroth, Beckhoff, B&R, Siemens)
