Description For Critical Infrastructure Data Center Regional Electrical Engineer

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Data Center Regional Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting AWS's global infrastructure, specifically focusing on data center operations and maintenance. As the 'go-to' engineering resource for your region, you'll provide comprehensive support from design inception through site improvement and maintenance.

The position offers a unique blend of technical leadership and hands-on engineering work in AWS's data center environments. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting complex systems, conducting root cause analysis, and developing innovative solutions to maintain and improve data center operations. The role requires collaboration with diverse teams, including operations, design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety teams.

Responsibilities For Critical Infrastructure Data Center Regional Electrical Engineer

  • Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures
  • Support operational issues with training and procedure reviews
  • Own conceptual design for data center upgrades and design-solutions
  • Interface with internal teams to maintain consistency and reliability
  • Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers
  • Lead engineering audits including on-site visits
  • Act as resident engineer during new construction projects

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
