AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role is crucial in supporting AWS data centers and ensuring continuous access to cloud innovation for customers. As a Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you'll provide comprehensive life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, from initial design through maintenance and improvements. Responsibilities For Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, Field Engineering

  • Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures
  • Support operational issues with training and procedure reviews
  • Own conceptual design for data center upgrades and design-solutions
  • Interface with multiple teams to maintain consistency and reliability
  • Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers
  • Lead engineering audits and produce risk assessment reports
  • Act as resident engineer during new construction projects
