AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Field Engineer to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role provides full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. As the 'go-to' engineering resource for your region, you'll work on challenging problems at hyper-scale, supporting all AWS data centers and their critical infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering judgment, be detail-oriented, and have experience with mission-critical facilities. You'll collaborate with diverse teams including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts. The role offers a mix of office and field work, with opportunities to work on projects both locally and globally.
Key responsibilities include performing design reviews, troubleshooting, conducting root cause analysis, supporting operational issues, and leading engineering audits. You'll own conceptual designs for data center upgrades that improve capacity, availability, efficiency, and sustainability. The position requires interaction with multiple teams responsible for all aspects of data centers, focusing on actions that are most impactful for data center capacity availability and safety.

This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities.
