AWS Data Center Field Engineering Team seeks a Portfolio Engineer to lead the lifecycle management of AWS data centers. This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership, focusing on infrastructure optimization and innovation. You'll manage critical MEP systems, drive availability solutions, and coordinate across multiple teams to ensure AWS's global infrastructure meets growing demands.

Responsibilities For Critical Infrastructure Portfolio Engineer, Field Engineering

  • Manage fleet-wide MEP availability solutions across organizational boundaries
  • Full lifecycle ownership from availability risk identification to global fleet-wide resolution
  • Develop standards and processes for tracking, reporting, and closure of risks
  • Prepare narratives for executive leadership with recommendations
  • Lead teams to optimize the Field Engineering portfolio
  • Up to 10% travel expected

Requirements For Critical Infrastructure Portfolio Engineer, Field Engineering

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience with industrial or commercial engineering or project management in Mission Critical facilities
  • Experience with global portfolio/program management working with cross functional teams
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Attention to detail and high quality standards
