Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting AWS's global infrastructure, specifically focusing on data center operations and maintenance.

As a Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of keeping the cloud running, providing comprehensive support to AWS Data Centers from initial design through maintenance. You'll serve as the primary engineering resource for your region, applying your expertise to solve complex technical challenges and drive innovation.

The role combines both technical leadership and hands-on engineering work. Responsibilities For Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer

  • Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures
  • Support operational issues with training and procedure reviews
  • Own conceptual design for data center upgrades and solutions
  • Interface with internal teams to maintain consistency and reliability
  • Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers
  • Lead engineering audits and produce risk reports
  • Act as resident engineer during new construction projects

Requirements For Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience using web-based and software tools for calculation and data processing
