Description For Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role is crucial for providing full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. As the 'go-to' engineering resource for your region, you'll troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and create corrective action documentation. You'll work with diverse teams to develop innovative solutions, manage multiple projects across geographical regions, and lead engineering audits. The ideal candidate should possess strong engineering judgment, be detail-oriented, and have experience managing engineering projects and consultants. This position offers a mix of office and field work, providing opportunities to work on both local and global projects. Responsibilities For Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer

  • Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures
  • Support operational issues with training and procedure reviews
  • Own conceptual design for data center upgrades and design-solutions
  • Interface with internal teams to maintain consistency and reliability
  • Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers
  • Lead engineering audits including on-site visits
  • Act as resident engineer during new construction projects

Requirements For Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Coursework in commercial/industrial power systems
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Experience using web-based software tools for calculation and data processing
