Description For Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer, Data Center Field Engineering

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer to join their Data Center Field Engineering team. This role is crucial in supporting AWS's global infrastructure, providing full life-cycle support to data centers from design inception through maintenance. You'll be the primary engineering resource for your region, handling everything from troubleshooting and root cause analysis to leading new construction projects.

As part of AWS Infrastructure Services, you'll work alongside diverse teams of software, hardware, and network engineers, contributing to the operation of AWS's global infrastructure. Responsibilities For Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer, Data Center Field Engineering

  • Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures
  • Support operational issues with training and procedure reviews
  • Own conceptual design for data center upgrades and design-solutions
  • Interface with internal teams to promote standards for consistency and reliability
  • Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers
  • Lead engineering audits including on-site visits
  • Act as resident engineer during new construction projects

Requirements For Critical Infrastructure Regional Electrical Engineer, Data Center Field Engineering

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities
  • Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and building codes
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers
  • EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls system experience
