Data Analytics Engineer II, (SAnDS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. As a Data Analytics Engineer II in the SAnDS team, you will be at the forefront of Cloud technologies, working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting Quantitative Data Analysis and acting as a subject matter expert on Operational and business improvement opportunities
• Designing and executing advanced analytical projects in collaboration with various teams
• Analyzing large amounts of structured and unstructured data to optimize key processes
• Identifying opportunity areas for deep dive investigations and future program development
• Enabling effective decision making by compiling data into actionable formats

You will work closely with diverse stakeholders, including Data Scientists, Business Intelligence teams, Program Managers, and more. The role requires a balance of analytical and technical skills, along with strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight
• Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Proficiency in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS solutions like EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
• Experience in data mining and working with large-scale, complex datasets in a business environment
