Description For Data Center BIM Specialist, Fleet Remediation Engineering

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a skilled Data Center BIM Specialist to join their Fleet Remediation Engineering team. This role combines expertise in BIM/CAD with data center infrastructure management, focusing on maintaining and producing Lifecycle sets for ACS and MEP drawing sets across AWS's global data center fleet.

The position requires deep knowledge of data center systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components, along with expertise in Revit and AutoCAD for creating and updating BIM models. You'll work with complex systems including Air Handling Units, Cooling towers, Chillers, and various control systems, while ensuring accurate documentation and updates of as-built drawings.

As part of AWS Infrastructure Services, you'll join the team responsible for keeping the cloud running, working alongside software engineers, hardware specialists, and network engineers. The role offers an opportunity to impact the design, planning, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure, ensuring continuous service delivery to customers worldwide.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of BIM/CAD experience, with particular strength in MEP Building Design and services. You'll collaborate across teams, manage documentation workflows, and contribute to the development of automation tools using various programming languages. Responsibilities For Data Center BIM Specialist, Fleet Remediation Engineering

  • Update CAD drawings, BIM models, and provide Lifecycle document control
  • Facilitate updates of CAD drawings, BIM models through vendors
  • Assist data center AWS teams with access, content requests, and submittals for As-Built & Record Documentation
  • Integrate project discipline content to Lifecycle sets
  • Develop automation using Lisp, Visual Basic, Dynamo
  • Manage drawing & model revisions
  • Provide concurrent content through collaborative onsite validation

Requirements For Data Center BIM Specialist, Fleet Remediation Engineering

  • 8+ years BIM/CAD experience in MEP Building Design & services
  • 5+ years Revit experience using Revit to design and coordinate large Mechanical/electrical projects
  • 5+ years experience taking drawings from conceptual design through construction documents
  • Experience with building engineering and construction technology
  • Knowledge of MEP systems including Air Handling Units, Cooling towers, Chillers, Controls
