Responsibilities For Data Center Chief Engineer, DCEO
- Act as primary escalation point for facilities-related issues
- Oversee operation of critical systems (switchgear, generators, UPS systems, chillers, etc.)
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
- Create and deploy new standard practices for operations teams
- Assist in build out of new facilities and efficiency improvement projects
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audience
- Ensure safety procedures adherence
- Establish building performance benchmarks and conduct analyses
- Manage and maintain mission-critical data center facility equipment
Requirements For Data Center Chief Engineer, DCEO
- Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in electrical or mechanical field
- 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
- 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience
- Ability to lift and move up to 39 pounds independently
- Physical capability to maintain balance and perform construction tasks on ladders
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours for maintenance and emergency calls
