AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. The position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in construction management, particularly in large-scale MEP projects. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data center construction, from initial planning to final handover to operations. This includes managing project scope, quality, schedules, and budgets while coordinating with various teams including Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning.

Responsibilities For Data Center Construction Manager
- Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or general capital projects
- Own construction project management and oversight of construction related activities
- Work alongside partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning
- Represent Amazon's owner's representative on construction sites daily
- Direct interface with construction general contractors during all phases
- Create construction project scope and request for proposals
- Manage and drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction contractors and vendors
- Support commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight
- Analyze and report construction progress and financials
- Contribute to construction initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and increasing data center resiliency
Requirements For Data Center Construction Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent engineering science plus 7+ years of relevant construction experience, OR 11+ years of relevant construction experience
- 6+ years of experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants
- 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience
