Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer to join their AWS Infrastructure Services team. This role is crucial in maintaining and innovating the automation systems within AWS data centers. As part of the AWS Controls Team, you'll work alongside highly motivated experts in the data center industry, managing sophisticated controls platforms and aligning building controls with business objectives.

The position involves overseeing Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for AWS data centers. You'll be responsible for ensuring controls deployment meets specifications, reviewing MEP drawings, developing control systems, and managing stakeholder deliverables. The role requires technical expertise in controls engineering, project management skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This team keeps the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. You'll be part of a diverse team solving challenging problems in supply chain and infrastructure management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, mechanical, or electrical engineering, with experience in industrial controls for critical environments. Responsibilities For Data Center Controls Engineer, Atlanta

  • Manage scope of Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS)
  • Review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings
  • Develop controls bill of material (BOM)
  • Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and requirements
  • Financially manage construction and service contracts
  • Provide vendor management
  • Perform controls root cause analysis
  • Schedule and supervise Quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS
  • Participate in a global on-call schedule
  • Develop building automation controls drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Develop and modify control logic programming

Requirements For Data Center Controls Engineer, Atlanta

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering science plus 3+ years of relevant controls experience, OR 8+ years of relevant controls experience
  • 3+ years with industrial controls in critical environment
  • 2+ years of general project or vendor management experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally at least 25% of the time
