AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) Team is the backbone of AWS, supporting the rapidly growing AWS business and customers 24/7.
As a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Engineering operations including risk management and mitigation
- Planning and implementation of corrective and preventative maintenance for critical infrastructure
- Vendor management within the AWS Data Center environment
- Ensuring operational excellence, maintenance of critical infrastructure, and supervising specialist vendors
- Acting as first responders to incidents and becoming subject matter experts for the facility
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing planned and unplanned site works for critical infrastructure
- On-site management of contractors and vendors
- Establishing performance benchmarks and preparing reports
- Generating change management requests and incident management tickets
- Coordinating with various teams to manage capacity and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency
- Driving projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability
The role may require on-call duties or shift work, with shifts up to 12 hours that may rotate on a predefined schedule.

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire systems in a data center or critical space facility
- Familiarity with Service Management systems concepts
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant technical degree with critical environment experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers
- Experience in managing vendors/contractors in large-scale critical environments
- Registration with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) as Chargeman or electrical competent person
