This role within the Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) Team is crucial for maintaining AWS's physical infrastructure and ensuring 24/7 operational excellence. As a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing critical facilities, including risk management, maintenance planning, and vendor coordination. The position requires a strong technical background in data center operations and facilities management.

The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic planning and team coordination. You'll work with electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, manage vendor relationships, respond to incidents, and drive improvements in facility capacity and efficiency. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge cloud infrastructure and the opportunity to work with diverse teams across AWS.

Key aspects of the role include maintaining critical infrastructure, supervising specialist vendors, acting as first responders to incidents, and becoming a subject matter expert for the facility.
