AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join their world-class team maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems. This role serves as the front line for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance in AWS's sophisticated data centers. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, maintaining mission-critical systems including standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and fire/life safety systems.

Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

  • Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
  • Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning
  • Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Technical writing to support change management program
  • Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution
  • On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors

Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

Linux
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
  • 1+ years' experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to lift and move up to 39 pounds independently
  • Ability to maintain balance and perform tasks while on a ladder
  • Physical capability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and work above shoulders
